FESTIVAL OF UNDERGROUND ARTS

Punq Noire Festival of Underground Arts celebrates queer, Black and POC pioneers of punk.
Punq Noire is an educational experience that honors the rich, raw, and underrepresented history of revolutionary queer and BIPOC punk artists, musicians, and creative influencers.
Intentionally taking place on Juneteenth (June 19, 2022), Punq Noire creates a space for people to celebrate freedom by participating in and experiencing the impactful, and inspirational foundations of punk, thus inhertently dismantling heteronormative, eurocentric perceptions of alternative subcultures like rock, goth, and punk.
Punq Noire brings opportunities for queer and BIPOC Connecticut artists, performers, musicians, and creative entrepreneurs to gain exposure, make valuable connections and obtain wealth while doing what they love.
Connecticut is abundant with creative achievers who employ DIY techniques to reach their goals. Punq Noire is a space to celebrate the innovative and revolutionary independence of Connecticut’s most radical artist influences.
